Owning the original DW-6900 and then switching over to the Casio Men's GW6900-1 is like talking about night and day. I own both and I must say to Casio: You guy's are freaking awesome! My dream came true when they released this model. All the features of the newer model Casio Men's GW6900-1 in the same case design as the original. The Casio Men's GW6900-1 is a no hassle basic G with a world time function which boasts 31 time zones with 48 cities to choose from as your home town in order to calibrate it with the Atomic signal. That's another feature I wanted to talk about. Atomic time is one of my favorite features amongst all Casio Men's GW6900-1. This model so far hasn't skipped a sync at all. Then there's the 200 meter or 660 feet water resistance. Which means that your holding in your hand a dive watch. Next up is another favorite feature of mine which is the solar power. I loath Casio Men's GW6900-1 that don't boast this technology other than automatic time pieces which can be a bit pricey. Finally that last two features which are non negotiable to me when looking for a digital watch are the 24 hour stopwatch and 24 hour count down timer. These two features are a must for me on any digital. Let's also not forget the 3 daily alarms plus the 1 snooze.

a great improvement over the 1 alarm the DW model had. In the end owning both the original and the newer model I must say that Casio has done an awesome job in revamping a classic!

Love this watch.....Setup was a little difficult, but once I figured out the tide/moon settings I was off and running. Well made, beautiful, and very functional.

Don't over-complicate the tide/moon settings. Here's the easy way: Go to one of many graphs on the internet and figure out the moon rising and moon setting times for the next full night. Next, calculate the time exactly half way between the two. That gives you the High Moon time, that is, when the moon is highest above your house. Now get a tidal chart for your area and write down the time of the NEXT high tide after the High Moon time you wrote down. The tidal charts are all over the internet. The amount of time from your High Moon time to your next High Tide is the Lunitidal Interval that needs to be set on your Casio Men's G7900-1. It's NOT complicated and is easy to set when you figure it out. The instruction booklet makes it sound way too difficult. Good luck....Hope you like the

First of all, I just want to say that this Casio Men's PAW2000-1CR looks great on the wrist, and Casio Men's PAW2000-1CR has a decent size. I like all of the features provided on this watch. First of all, the Altimeter, Barometer, and Compass are amongst the favorite of my features. The Barometer can be extremely accurate, along with the compass. Sometimes the Altimeter can be off measurement, but you can adjust that. I've been wearing this watch for several days now and I plan to never take it off. Casio Men's PAW2000-1CR just has features that blow every other watch I have in my collection away. I always use the stopwatch and countdown timers on any digital that I have and this one adds ABC features on top of those as well; world time, atomic time keeping, and solar power, and 100 meter water resistance are all just pluses in an already feature laden time piece. Not to mention the sunrise and sunset time's feature, which is really useful for maximizing the use of one day. All in All, I give this watch five stars from a dramatic improvement on

Casio Men's AW80V-5BV

as I was looking to replace an old dual analog / digital Casio Men's AW80V-5BV I had had for over 10 years. The new one looks sharper and has more features, though it is a bit thicker. I really like that the hands glow in the dark, and have found even several hours later I can still read the time in the dark. Instructions were a bit hard to read in the enclosed booklet so I downloaded a 3 page PDF summary from the Casio Men's AW80V-5BV home page. Quite like that I can see the time and the day / date of week at a glance and then switch and change to see a different time zone that I am currently visiting.

with analog hands, but with digital features. Since they are hard to find these days, I ordered this one.

The good:

The LCD portion of the Casio Men's AW80D-7A is very easy to read.

The Casio Men's AW80D-7A seems accurate so far.

The analog portion of the

Casio Men's AW80D-7A

is controlled by the digital, so Casio Men's AW80D-7A should stay as accurate as the digital portion. (The minute hand clicks 1/3 of a minute every 20 seconds.)

The Casio Men's AW80D-7A  has no second hand. Sometimes I like to use one to time short things. Yes, there is a built in stop Casio Men's AW80D-7A, but it is as hard to use as all the other digital features. (But my guess is the lack of a second hand will extend battery life.)

The band grabbed the hair on my arm. I had to go out and buy a twist-o-flex.

There is no stem to set the analog portion of the Casio Men's AW80D-7A. Instead, you go into handsetting mode in the digital portion, and push a button and wait for the hands to move forward to the correct time. To set the hands forward 11 hours to go off of DST took several minutes.

The Casio Men's AW80D-7A has a DST setting. It sets the digital portion of the

ahead an hour. But it doesn't automatically go back after DST ends. So you still need to adjust the watch. It's not much easier than just resetting the time. And it doesn't affect the analog hands.

The Casio Men's AW80D-7A has a world time feature. You can quickly find out the time in Bangkok. But don't expect to use this on your vacation to keep track of the local time. Press any button and you will return to your local time.
